Mladen Solomun is one of the founders of Diynamic, a label that's become a cornerstone of Hamburg's house scene and is home to artists like Stimming, H.O.S.H. and Ost & Kjex. On Watergate 11, the German DJ and producer reaches well beyond his immediate circle of friends and label mates, revisiting old tracks by Alliance Ethnik and Gaelle as well as latter day favorites like DJ Koze's remix of "I Think About You" by Heiko Voss. The compilation will be preceded by a single-sided 12-inch for a new track that's included on the mix: Solomun's own "Kackvogel" (German for "shit bird"). The launch party for Watergate 11 will happen, naturally, at Watergate in Berlin, with Solomun playing all night in the main room.
