Dirtybird Prep New 'Players' Compilation

Dirtybird will release its latest compilation, Players, on March 13th.

The disc comes a year after the San Francisco label's last crew effort, Hatched. This one collects all new material from the core Dirtybird roster, including 2012 breakthrough star Eats Everything, the recently-profiled Catz 'N Dogz, label founder Claude VonStroke and Worthy.

Players will also show off some of the imprint's latest signings, an international group that includes French duo goldFFinch, the UK's Shadow Child and Belgian Kill Frenzy. The compilation, which will be released on CD and digital, will coincide with a global Players tour, the details of which have yet to be announced.

Cutting Edge Mixed By Luke Solomon

Luke Solomon has mixed Cutting Edge, a new compilation for Brazil's D-Edge label.

The imprint, as is clear from the name, is connected to the Sao Paolo club of the same name. The venue is one of the most credible and underground clubs on the continent, regularly bringing in acts from the house and techno world. As the co-head of Classic Records, Solomon's house credentials are unparalleled, so he seems a natural fit for the imprint's debut bow into the CD market. Throughout, Solomon balances things between house and techno, with things reaching a peak early on via Roberto Rodriguez's epic remix of Scope's "Seven Reasons." It's the seventh official mix compilation from Solomon in his lengthy career, and his first since 2006's A Classic Decade.

Moon Harbour InHouse Vol.4 - Mixed by Dan Drastic

Dan Drastic has mixed Moon Harbour InHouse Vol.4, due for release at the beginning of June.

The release comes three years after Moon Harbour's last InHouse compilation, and follows editions mixed by Martinez, Luna City Express and Marlow. It features 12 functional and upbeat tech house tracks from some of the Leipzig label's closest artists, including Reboot, Guido Schneider, Ekkohaus and Amsterdam's Boris Werner. Drastic contributes a production too, as does label boss Matthias Tanzmann. The collection will be available digitally and on CD as a mix, with a separate unmixed version available as a double-LP. All of the songs included are exclusive to the release.

Fragments the new André Lodemann compilation.

André Lodemann will release a new compilation called Fragments this May.

The Berlin-based producer has seen EP releases on Simple Records, Z Records, Room With A View, Freerange, and his own Best Works imprint over the past eight years. Fragments, a new two-CD package on Best Works, will highlight the best of these releases and selected remixes by Lodemann. The first disc is a ten-track affair with eight previously-released tracks and two new, exclusive songs, "Going To The Core"— featuring a vocal from Nathalie Claude—and "Unknown Desire," both of which will also see a vinyl release on a separate EP (Fragments Originals) in April. The second disc features a selection eleven remixes of different artists by Lodemann, including a new vocal mix of Omar's "Lay It Down," and four remixes have also seen release on a vinyl EP called Fragments Remixes earlier this week.

Defected present: All Gone Miami '12

Pete Tong and Groove Armada have put together a new mix package on Defected called All Gone Miami '12, due for release next month.

Both artists are well-acquainted with mainstream audiences: Tong is the iconic host of BBC Radio 1's Essential Mix, while Groove Armada have had four of their eight albums in the top 50 UK albums chart. That said, both mixes on All Gone Miami '12are heavy on (relatively) underground selections, with Tong throwing down remixes by the likes of Kenny Larkin and Deetron as well as Luke Abbott's "Brazil (Slow Version)" off the Border Community label. Groove Armada weave in a number of their original productions, including an exclusive cut called "Disco Love Groove". Nina Kraviz's "Ghetto Kraviz" and Fingers Inc.'s "Music Take Up" also make the cut.

Dirtybird set to release new compilation: Hatched

Dirtybird has a new compilation in the works called Hatched.

Run by Claude VonStroke and Justin Martin, Dirtybird has been putting out bass-heavy house music since 2005. Hatched gives a snapshot of where the San Francisco institution is at today, with with a dozen new tracks by as many artists, both established (VonStroke, Catz 'N Dogz, Worthy) and new to the fold (Tom Flynn, Sacha Robotti, Eats Everything). Before the full compilation comes out in February, the tracks will be released across three digital EPs beginning in January, "spanning a bird's full life cycle from hatchling to roast dinner" as VonStroke puts it. All of the songs included are previously unreleased.

Fred Everything mixes Five Years of Lazy Days Compilation

Fred Everything's Lazy Days imprint will release a 13-track compilation for its fifth anniversary later this month.

Naturally, the collection draws only on music released through Lazy Days, most of which falls within its signature style of party-friendly deep house. Some tracks are new and exclusive, while others are taken from the label's back catalogue, highlighting some of Fred's favourite cuts. The new material comes from artists like Kruse & Nuernberg, Ian Pooley, Greg Wilson and Art of Tones. The label has also been mindful of DJs keen to use the new tracks behind the decks: Five Years of Lazy Days will be available as an unmixed collection or as a continuous mix.
