Well where do I start, groove sanctuary was killer last night..... top DJs, top music, top people and live performances. What more can you ask for when you go out?? not much, especially when the live band is Bah samba.
As I got there the venue was filling up nicely, with patrick forge spinning those jazzy house beats, now i would love to say a certain dj was stand out but quite simply there where so many plus i missed a few, it would be hard to say... PATRICK FORGE, PHIL ASHER, BOPSTAR, FAZE ACTION, MJ COLE, NEIL PIERCE, JOHN OUDO etc......
But for me, the night was centred around seeing Bah Samba live with amazing artists, now I managed to capture most of it on film but all to soon my memory card was full up!!!! (I did however delete some crap in time to film part of the last song)
Anyways check it out for yourselves and if you weren't there make sure you don't miss out again, biggup to Jimbo for organising such a wicked night. Keep em coming mate...
Now firmly established a one of the capitals finest club nights Groove Sanctuary has been pulling in the crowds week after week for a regular dose of bass rumbling deep soulful dance sounds. Groove Sanctuary is one of the few club nights that has attracted such a wide range of dancers over the years earning itself the reputation as thee place to seriously get down and has been dubbed ’A club where the dancers dance’. The hugely successful House Dance UK competition is a testimony to the high regard in which the night is held within the dance & clubbing community.

Not content with a super star line up of DJ’s they’ve also asked top band BAH SAMBA to play an exclusive live set! BAH SAMBA are one of a few live bands that are able to fuse a mixture of House, Latin & Jazz Funk into a truly energetic live performance. Bah Samba’s debut single was ‘Carnival’, followed by the now classic, ‘Reach Inside’ and numerous singles on Estereo. They have released a number of highly acclaimed albums, including the Latin Lounge Session, ‘Eclectica Volume 1’, ‘Bah Samba 4’ which featured the hits ’Portuguese Love’ & ‘Calma’. In recent times Bah Samba have been performing with Jazz Legend Roy Ayers in concerts and festivals worldwide. In Summer 2009 they released the seasonal delight ‘Live In The Summer’. The single gained huge support worldwide, reaching No.1 on the Traxsource chart as well as finding a home on many compilations. Then earlier this year they released ‘Don’t Let Them Get you Down’ again with huge DJ support.
And to make sure this will be a night to remember they’ve teamed up with BIG SPIN MUSIC for some exclusive free give aways as part of the release for John Oudo’s forth coming single “Satisfied – ft Nicole Mitchell”. Out on promo download August 1th 2010 (www.traxsource.com)

HERE"S THE FOOTAGE FROM LAST TIME I WENT DOWN........ SERIOUS BUSINESS......
As usual, I pitch up around 11:30 and the upstairs bar was busy but not really booming and downstairs was pretty sparse. At this point, Luke McCarty was playing a nice warm up vibe, within about 10-15 mins the room was filling out as Luke was progressing through his mix.
Now In true restless fashion Luke was playing vintage & prototype house music with a crisp selection and mixes to boot, the crowd thoroughly enjoyed this part of their journey. An were well and truly warm for Sean McCabe.
I have to say big shouts to Luke I thought what he played was class.
Just before Sean there was an amazing live P.A. from Selina Campbell who has a truly amazing voice, she really got everyone hyped up (check the video of the whole thing below).
Sean Stepped up to play and really upped the tempo, he played a solid set with a good selection of house music right through to some disco edits and back. He kept the crowd bubbling through to the wee hours, when Phil came on an really hyped everything up but unfortunately the venue closed the party off early. But as you can see that turning the lights on didn't stop people from dancing at 3:30am. Big up the restless crew as always a good solid party, looking forward to the next one.

Ok so this week I turn up late once again but in fairness its not my fault!! I was waiting on my ride no names mentioned Sy.... :-) So I missed Carlos Florez's warm up set but i'm sure it went down a treat.
As i walk in i am greeted by the sound of an amazing vocalist who I have the pleasure of working with Miss Sabrina Chyld, who was performing her new single with the talented soulful house producer Jose Carretas. Jose of course known for being the remixing champion of the soulful house world in 2009 and having some killer original of his own Check Jose out on Traxsource.
Its always a pleasure to see/hear Jose mixing as you know what your gonna get, good house music, pure and unadulterated. Jose laid down some killer trax and had me going nuts and at one point I just couldnt believe I was hearing tune after tune!!
The highlight of Jose set other than hearing Sabrina perfom alongside him(who did amazingly well I must say), was hearing Kenny Carvajal feat. Swaylo You Remind Me, absolutely amazing tune big up Jose on that. Jose played a wicked all round set, keeping everyone on there toes. Definately a man you should be checking at Southport.
Next up we had Sy Sez, who came in fresh from playing for Soul Heaven in Italy. Sy came in immediately looking to take it up a notch laying dow some serious trax, playing through old and new, Sy even put in a few old disco edits which really hyped up the crowd. Below is a little video but its poor lighting so my apologies.
Then we had the man of the hour 'birthday boy' Peter Borg who was a big let down!! Not in his music, he played classics and really worked the crowd but he let alot of us down who were expecting him to turn up in a Peter Pan outfit!! Giant flop Pete.
All jokes aside I had good fun, defintely worth the trip, so big up the guys on that, seems like we are getting a few more parties in South London!! The rise of soulful/deep house in south lolololololol....

Wow what a stomper of a weekend, I only hit up two parties in the end but they were both stonkers..... Serious house music as you would expect. Ok i decided to shoot some videos as well as taking pics, it didn't go to well but hey you get the idea!!!
Pot Kettle Black & Wolf Music presents @ The Castle
Ok so I was a bit biased with this one I turned up to see Souled @ 2am who killed the place, the Fresh Minute lable duo where running tune after tune, even hitting us with disco edits. Biggups to the Souled Gang absolutely killed it. Thats enough said really. More info on Souled HERE
Restless Soul @ East Village
Ok where to start, I pitch up at around 11:55pm, theres a massive queue outside with a wicked mix of people, I'm thinking its gonna be a good one (& as usual it was). Now I dont know haow many Restless Soul parties you go to but i try to hit them all up cause Phil and the gang, know how to throw a party!! Anyways I walk in and upstairs Danny Native is throwing down some tuff Disco Edits, not Danny's usual style but he was rocking the crowd in the warm up to what was to come..!! Some deep, dark, broken beat. Playing alongside Danny upstairs was Dominic Jacobson, whos vinyl collection I have to say is killer, another true selecta....
Danny & Dom Kept the upstairs of East Village Thumping all night long with some serious tuneage. Well done you guys.
So I walk downstairs and Jose Carretas is pumping, "Romanthony 'let me show you love'", serious oldskool pressure!! i was slightly pissed that i missed the whole of his set but from what i can tell, Jose was throwing it down as per usual!!
So the man that a lot of people came to see, Fabio Genito. What can I say, the man can throw a tune, he had the club bouncing for the best part of 3 hours, from deep to tribal to disco to nu kool, Fabio was churning them out.
Finally Phil came on to round up the evening with some classic house to make the crowd go crazy showing peops that "thats the way love is". As Always a Restless Soul party that rocked the house..... Biggups to the gang.
Ok today were on a chilled soulful vibe for the most part!! Im just posting up some fire from some of my cohorts that you may or may not have / know about. Looking forward to tomorrows post of events, its going to be sizzling......
After my post on Saturday about the forthcoming Altered Natives track "Believe In Me" here it is... On VINYL.... wowzer.... Congrats on that, set in motion to do big things....
